At Highwood Furniture, we have been reflecting more than usual recently about the image we portray as a business. Our product range is increasing, and as a result the messages that we are putting out can be varied. We want to make sure that the messages that are getting out reflect the work that we are most proud of.
We also enjoy taking our planning meetings and catch ups out of the workshop and the house, one place we love hanging out is the cosy cafe at Alyth Cyclery. It is a great wee place that serves the delicious Glen Lyon coffee, lovely home made soup and cakes. But arguably even better, it has a beautiful larch clad counter with a live edge Elm top. This counter was built and fitted in 2018 by Highwood Furniture. It was finished with 3 coats of Osmo oil and set to work. Seven years on, without a refinish, and if we do say so ourselves, it is looking great. It is hard to think of another material that would look this good seven years into a life of hard work in a business premises. It continues to portray the traditional, welcoming, functional, and reliable image that it did from the start. It also maintains the quality and ease of use that we all look for in a product that is used on a day to day basis.
At Highwood furniture we have constructed a number of business counters. Counters have ranged a great deal in complexity, and have been designed around the needs and budgets of the business. As with all Highwood items, your design is co-created with you as the business owner to reflect the style and business image you wish to portray. Some counters have been simple live edge designs that showcase the quality of the materials used. Other Highwood counters combine high quality timber with creative design and techniques such as floating panel work, inlay, and scroll relief work combined with high quality joinery. Business counters have also been designed to include custom storage solutions for professional equipment, including dovetail drawers, adjustable shelving, lighting, and hidden power access. All counters are built to the highest of quality and will quietly allow your business to demonstrate your style, eye for detail, and high standards.
So, what does your counter say about your business?
